About

"Karen's work possesses a quietness that ushers the viewer into a realm of stillness and balance.  Her use of subtle detail and soft, veiled lines, culminate in works of fine art that lift the atmosphere of a space and encourage a sense of lightness and wellbeing."

I believe in living spaces that are clean, fresh, calm & beautiful.  With soft color, movement & simplicity art can bring a sense of visual calm to the spaces we live in.  My art is achieved using photography or paint often times blurring the lines between mediums. Nature is almost always the inspiration when starting a new series. I use an abstract & loose style that results in unscripted washes of color which keeps the imagery dynamic & organic.  Photographs are created using a slow shutter and props such as tissue paper, coffee filters & ribbon.  My paintings are created using fluid paints such as watercolor & acrylic inks.

Each print is custom ordered to size.  Photography prints are made on Lustre Kodak Endura Professional Papers by a lab I've been working with for over 10 years and fully trust their superior quality and customer service. My watercolor prints on made on Cotton Fine Art Papers with the same lab. These papers resemble the original water paintings very well. Your art prints have a longevity of 100 years in typical display conditions.

“Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
